Kent L. Thornburg, Ph.D., FAPS, held the M. Lowell Edwards Chair of Cardiovascular Research and was Professor of Medicine at the Knight Cardiovascular Institute at OHSU for 20 years, also serving as interim director and founding director of the OHSU Bob and Charlee Moore Institute for Nutrition & Wellness. A leading researcher on the developmental origins of health and disease, he has served on numerous national advisory panels, received honors such as the Agnes Higgins Award from the March of Dimes, and currently chairs the NIH ECHO program’s External Scientific Board.
